Contender boats are crafted with hand laminated solid fiberglass using biaxial and triaxial cloths, structural PVC core sandwich construction for lightweight and superior strength as well as vinylester resins and specialty formulated gel coats for high gloss mirror-like finishes.
Understanding the needs of fishermen, Contender has designed the interiors of its boats to be clean and unobstructed. The one level deck allows quick and easy movement from bow to stern. For oversized decks, there are large storage compartments with flush mount gaskets. Polyurethane foam is injected into practically every available cavity to add to flotation and help reduce noise.
Modifications, however, can be made to suit the specific needs of each fishermen.

This is a boat for the more discriminating sportsman, with a distinct Miami flavor that only South Florida natives really understand. Maybe. This is the kind of boat that we take off in for the Bahamas fishing grounds 100+ miles away on Saturday AM in 3' seas at 35 mph+ beating our brains out to get there and back again.
