Hurricane boats PDF Print E-mail
Known as the original "SUV of H2O", Hurricane boats have been very prominent in serving the boating market with quality deck boats for more than thirty years. The Hurricane brand has more than 35 models  of multipurpose deck boats that are fit for fishing, skiing, cruising, or simply touring around.

Hurricane Boat Company was founded in 1965 in Texas to serve the need of pleasure boaters to run along the shallow waters of Texas' coastline. Hurricane boats started as looking like gold bathtubs that combine the qualities of a spacious pontoon and a fiberglass boat hull. The Hurricane deck boats were celebrated even in its early years for offering versatility, power, and function.

It did not take long for a giant boat manufacturer to take interest on Hurricane. In 1974, Godfrey Marine – the largest pontoon and deck boat building in the United States, purchased Hurricane. The acquisition and association with Godfrey allowed Hurricane to pursue further innovation and technology in building its boats.

Deck Boat categories

Hurricane offers three categories of deck boats: the SunDeck, FunDeck and Fun Deck GS. Under these categories are various models with a wide choice of power, including all major outboard manufacturers as well as inboard/outboard power.

The sporty SunDeck line comes in sterndrive or outboard power. SunDeck boats have full wraparound windshields and provide enough room for a greater number of passengers.

Looking like traditional pontoon deck boats, the FunDeck series offers big, comfortable seating and wide-open design. It comes with high-performance modified V-hull to allow faster planning and easier maneuverability.

The FunDeck GS, meanwhile, is Hurricane convertible sports car. The models provide maximum seating but at the same time boast of clutter-free layout design. Loaded with features that allow comfort and convenience, the FunDeck GS is definitely perfect for entertaining the whole gang.

The Hurricane difference

Hurricane boats are something that families can grow with as they move from novice boaters to more specific areas of boating such as fishing, skiing or cruising. Keeping to their tradition for quality and excellence, Hurricane has always put performance, comfort, and durability on top of their design and engineering objectives. But this boat builder is also a leader when it comes to style as evidenced by its dramatic transformation from bathtub-shaped boats to the more sleek and sophisticated designs that have set the trend in the deck boats market for years.

Hurricane boats are also designed for low maintenance. The makers understand that boaters don't deserve to be bothered with cumbersome chores to keep their boats seaworthy. Hurricane deck boats are very easy to clean and maintain. When it comes to safety, Hurricane deck boats are certified by the National Marine Manufacturers Association and meet, if not exceed, Coast Guard standards.
